Hi and welcome!
I’m Nicole Ruth Smith - photographer by trade, growing designer and letterer, thyroid cancer fighter, sunlight connoisseur, outdoor enthusiast, and slowly becoming a Bostonian (no wicked accent yet). I express the places and moments that bring me joy through creativity. By day, I am the Communications Manager at the Center for Mind and Culture, a nonprofit research institute in Boston, Massachusetts.
With a camera in-hand, I focus on capturing the small and significant details that tell the story of a moment. I’m drawn to snow-capped mountains and delicate wildflowers, striking skyscrapers and spindly shadows, expressive lyrics and scrawling typefaces.
As a Colorado-born and Montana-educated adventurer, my greatest love is our public lands. When I’m not standing in awe of the mountains, you can often find me watching shadows change, tending to a small jungle of houseplants, or re-watching The Office.
